I was very honoured to be asked to make a special occasion cake to celebrate the 85th Birthday of Robert Hardy at the Richard III Foundation conference - The cake was a rich chocolate sponge filled with chocolate fudge and iced in Belgium chocolate icing, decorated with the Richard III Emblem & Hand made White chocolate Roses.

"This year, at our annual conference, The Richard III Foundation, Inc. commissioned Diana's-Designs to provide the cake for us. Diana had some wonderful ideas of how the cake could be decorated. When the cake arrived, I was stunned at how beautiful it was. When I had presented our honorary patron, Robert Hardy, with an award marking his many accomplishments in film, theatre and history, Diana wheeled the cake in. It was stunning. I thought we were at the BAFTA awards as people gasped when they saw it and flashes from their cameras went off, but the biggest and best reaction came from Robert himself. He brought a sizeable piece back with him after the conference, and I along with friends ate it during the week. Diana is a true artist, and she helped make the day memorable for us, and more importantly for Robert. I would not hesitate to use her again for our events, and have plans for another design for our 2011 conference. She is the best!
